#MRPVIP Y'all Didn't Think I Could Bump Like This

Last week Thursday, Mr Price Sandton had its doors exclusively open until almost midnight to host bloggers, Instagram gems and other Internet folk so that they could preview and shop the Autumn 2014 collection before anyone else. They ran competitions for their Sandton, Gateway and Canal Walk stores for one lucky entrant and a friend to be MRP VIPs and, you can roll your eyes here, I WON.

my birthday is on wednesday

It was a little unorganised as I found out the day of, weeks after entering and soon forgetting, so I didn't even know who to take and, most importantly, what to wear. Luckily, one of my Internet friends (who I've been wanting to meet for over four months now and is mutual friends with some friends of mine yet we hadn't met each other and who I have so much in common with), Khensani, from Oh Kenzo, was available. Even though I'd settled into my uniform boyfriend jeans from Cotton On (I swear all my friends roll their eyes and sigh like cartoon characters everytime I show up in them), it was so good to finally be at an event where I wasn't being treated like a novice/child/outsider (in the case of MBFWJ, it was almost all three). I'm not so jaded about industry stuff anymore now.
But, then again, besides Khensani, I didn't make any new friends.

How absolutely gorgeous is Khensani?
I wore my (genuine, you guys, suck it) leather jacket, Adventure Time swimsuit from Bianca Kim, Cotton On jeans (obvvsss) and really uncomfortable, no support but look hella PU sandals from Mr Price.

I was just fresh from a long, fatty day at school so I wasn't keen on taking a lot of scenic photos but the store was done up really perddyyy though. It sucked that I'd eaten so much before because they were serving super cutesy, delicious finger foods and deserts all served in Tumblrific ways (like glasses of fries and a marshmallow wall).

The atmosphere was great as well. The cashiers were hella turnt and cheered for purchases all night long. The DJ was playing sick tunes that, if weren't for my bad foot and lack of, uh, 'influence', I would've found myself doing some (of that thing I think is) dancing.

The clothes for the winter collection were amazing but I was too indecisive to buy more things. I did get a Bart Simpson jumper, a leather skirt (that I hate already) and a boxy crop top. There were so many things I was in love with but I was scared of going home and hating it on myself.
